It started with a simple frustration. While working as a senior software engineer, I saw firsthand how hard it was to ask customers for reviews — and how much those reviews mattered. The tools that existed were either too expensive, too complicated, or built for enterprises, not the local businesses that needed them most.
At the same time, two close friends were running their own businesses — an appliance repair company in the US and an art school in Richmond Hill, Canada. Both had the same problem: great service, happy customers, but barely any online reviews to show for it. The platforms they looked at started at $75–$300 per month. For a small business, that's a tough pill to swallow.
So we built BlooTrue — a platform designed from day one for local businesses. Not a stripped-down enterprise tool, but something purpose-built: affordable, easy to use, and powered by AI that actually saves you time. We started with smart review routing (free for everyone) and kept building from there.
